The Peralta Community College District Board Trustees, back safely from its recent expedition to a Berkeley Himalayan restaurant, returns tonight at seven to 333 E. Eighth St. Agenda highlights include Patrick McCallum\u2019s legislative update, a raft of new and revised board policies, and an\u00a0SLO presentation from\u00a0CoA economist Diana\u00a0Bajrami and VC of Ed. Services Michael Orkin. In other news:<\/div>\n
*Merritt faculty elected chemistry\u00a0prof Jennifer\u00a0Shanoski as their new campus\u00a0PFT co-representative. Jennifer, who teams up with union vet Christine Olsen, attended her first\u00a0PFT Executive Council meeting Oct. 4.\u00a0PFT is thrilled to have Jennifer among the union leadership and encourages faculty across the district to join her in getting active with Local 1603.<\/div>\n
*After lengthy talks with the district,\u00a0PFT inked agreements on issues related to management retreat rights, leave banking, and faculty investigations. The formal letters clarify and improve\u00a0PFT-PCCD processes that have long bedeviled both sides.
